West Ham complete Diame deal

Newly-promoted West Ham have signed the Senegal international midfielder Mohamed Diame on a three-year deal.

Diame, 25, moves to Upton Park from Wigan Athletic and will officially become a Hammers player when his deal at the DW Stadium expires on July 1.

He held talks with the West Ham manager Sam Allardyce earlier this week, and told the club's official website: "I'm very happy and very excited to have joined the club, and I'm looking forward to the start of the season.
