Fans tossed paper balls at players

WARSAW, Poland -- UEFA has fined the German soccer association $12,550 because fans threw paper missiles at Portugal players during a European Championship match.

Portugal players were pelted with dozens of grapefruit-sized paper balls during the first half of Germany's 1-0 win Saturday in Lviv, Ukraine.

UEFA rules make national associations responsible for their fans' behavior inside stadiums.
