Dalglish sacking scuppered Diame deal

Mohamed Diame has revealed that he was considering a move to Liverpool before the club sacked Kenny Dalglish.

Diame, who is out of contract after three years at Wigan, is available on a free transfer this summer and has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Tottenham.

Although Diame confirmed he has attracted interest from the continent, he is keen to stay in the Premier League and had been in line for a move to Anfield before Dalglish's dismissal.
