Pizarro signs Bayern deal

Bayern Munich have announced the signing of former player Claudio Pizarro on a free transfer from Werder Bremen.

Pizarro, 33, spent a six-year spell at Bayern from 2001 to 2007, scoring 71 goals for the club before joining Chelsea and now returns following the expiry of his Werder contract.

The Peruvian is the all-time top foreign goalscorer in Bundesliga history with 160 goals in 333 games in the division.
