Ian Crook has made his first key decisions as Sydney FC coach, opting not to extend the contacts of Shannon Cole, Scott Jamieson and Michael Beauchamp.

The trio had waited months to learn if they had a future at the club as Sydney's search for a coach went on, but the club announced on Thursday they would be released as the Sky Blues head in "a new direction".
