Johnson apologises after incident

Wolves defender Roger Johnson has apologised for his conduct after reports suggested that he turned up to training on Monday under the influence of alcohol.

Johnson, 28, was a £4.5 million summer signing from Birmingham and was made captain of the club by Mick McCarthy before he was sacked. However, the defender was alleged to have drowned his sorrows after Sunday's 5-0 defeat to Fulham and turned up for training the next day in an unacceptable condition.
