Roar lose Nichols for ACL clash with Tokyo

Brisbane Roar have ruled attacking midfielder Mitch Nichols out of Tuesday night's ACL Champions League soccer clash with FC Tokyo at Suncorp Stadium.

Olyroos playmaker Nichols suffered a groin injury early in the Roar's 1-1 A-League draw with Melbourne Heart on Friday night and coach Ange Postecoglou on Monday confirmed he would not play the J-League heavyweights.
