West Ham sign FC Dallas defender John

West Ham United have agreed a two-month loan deal for FC Dallas defender George John.

John arrives from the MLS on a contract to run until early March, but with West Ham prepared to consider a permanent deal if the 24-year-old impresses at Upton Park.

"I am happy to be here, excited by the opportunity and enthusiastic about playing under the manager and getting better," John said.

"I feel good and hopefully I can get into some training and get up to the pace.
