Ba confirmed in Senegal ANC squad

In-form Newcastle striker Demba Ba has been confirmed in the Senegal squad for next month's African Nations Cup.

Ba has lit up the Premier League with 14 goals this season but will leave Magpies manager Alan Pardew with a headache when he hooks up with his national side for the continental tournament that runs from January 21 to February 12.

Pardew hopes he can hold on to Ba until January 15, when his side play QPR in the league.
