Diouf extends Doncaster stay

Former Liverpool striker El-Hadji Diouf has agreed a new 18-month deal with Championship side Doncaster Rovers.

Diouf revealed earlier this week that he had held talks with ambitious Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala, but has instead decided to remain in England.

LA Galaxy were also thought to be interested in the forward but Doncaster manager Dean Saunders revealed he has persuaded Diouf to extend his original three-month deal with the club.
