Thanks for following tonight's game on Soccernet and join us for more live football in the Europa League tomorrow. Goodbye!
Curiously, Olympiakos were at their best when they were down to ten men. They lacked a killer instinct in front of goal tonight.
Gourcuff was superb for Bordeaux tonight and despite missing a great chance before he scored the winner, Chamakh was always dangerous.
But how much will the French champions miss Diarra in the first leg of their quarter-final?
It wasn't as straightforward as the aggregate scoreline suggests but Bordeaux deserve to be in Friday's draw for the quarter-finals.
The final whistle goes and Bordeaux are through.
Bordeaux sub: Jussie on for Wendell.
Slight suggestion that Chamakh climbed on the back of Raul Bravo at the back post but it's no more than that. We have 3 minutes of injury time
Bordeaux have made heavy weather of this but probably deserve it overall. Olympiakos look like a side who have accepted their fate.
Towering header from Chamakh and that just about seals it.
Chamakh atones for his earlier error and bullets a header into the back of the net. Tremoulinas crossed it in after receiving the ball from you know who. Yes, Gourcuff.
GOAL TO BORDEAUX!
It's now or never for Olympiakos as they attack with Torosidis. His cross is hit high into the air by Chalme, who is losing his cool. Infact, Bordeaux look very nervous.
Chamakh may rue that miss as Olympiakos win a free kick which Chalme nods clear.
Olympiakos sub: Ledesma on for Maresca.
Bordeaux sub: Sertic on for Plasil.
Chamakh spurns a golden opportunity. One on one with the goal keeper but a heavy touch put the ball too far from him to shoot. You expect better from Chamakh. Nikopolidis did well to smother the ball but he's picked up an injury for his troubles.
Gourcuff hits the wall from the resulting free kick.
Fernando wins a free kick 25 yards out. Fernando looked to have lost the ball when he was brought down by Papadopoulos. Shade lucky there, Bordeaux.
Olympiakos nearly grab a winner. Tremoulinas whips in a delicious cross that Raul Bravo couldn't quite connect with. That was very close. Bordeaux's hearts are in their mouths.
Things are close to boiling over. There are mini battles erupting all over the pitch.
Wendell tries to score from the resulting free kick when he should have lifted into the box. His teammates do not look very happy.
Mellberg is a lucky boy. He escapes with a yellow but that is a very blatent handball. Mellberg knows what he's doing there and some refs would have shown him red there. Free kick to Bordeaux just outside the box.
Fernando is dispossessed in midfield and Bordeaux are rattled. They've lost the swagger of the first half.
Laurent Blanc looks worried. He should be.
Olympiakos come forward but LuaLua handballs it. A waste. But Olympiakos are winning the 50/50s they were losing in the first half. Their tails are up.
This has suddenly become a very interesting tie, but Bordeaux are still just as dominant as ever
And now Bordeaux are down to ten men. A late tackle by Diarra and a stupid one for a man on a yellow, but again on the harsh side for me.
DIARRA SENT OFF!
One more goal for Olympiakos and they're through. I didn't think I'd be saying that 5 minutes ago.
The cat is well and truly among the pigeons.
A an absolute stunner by the substitute, Mitroglou. He found himself on the edge of the box and simply turned and volleyed an unstoppable blast past Carrasso. Great goal
GOAL TO OLYMPIAKOS!
Olympiakos bring on Mitroglou, the man dropped from the first leg. And his first contribution is to give away a free kick.
Olympiakos sub: Mitroglou on for Zairi
Olympiakos are down to ten men and it's a long way back for them now
That was stupid from Derbyshire. Already on a yellow he lunges in on Plasil and catches his ankle. Definitely a yellow but should he have been booked in the first place?
Derbyshire sent off!
Gourcuff sprints clear like a greyhound but the flag is up.
... but Carrasso aggressively punches it clear. Nikopolidis could learn from that.
Datolo has won a free kick in dangerous area for Olympiakos. Datolo whips it in...
Gourcuff and Chamakh link in the Olympiakos box beautifully. Chamakh unselfishly lays it back to Plasil whose shot is terrible.
Derbyshire is booked for diving. He did throw himself into the air like a high jumper, under the pressure of Chalme in the Bordeaux box, but a yellow seems a bit harsh for the Englishman.
Wendell tries to get clever and chest a pass to Chamakh. It goes horribly wrong and out of play.
Bordeaux's danger man, Gourcuff, starts and finishes a great move for the French champions. His low left footed shot from 20 yards goes harmlessly wide but it's nice, quick approach play.
LuaLua hits an ambitious volley high and very, very wide
Olympiakos hit a long ball towards Derbyshire but he's beaten in the air by Chalme.
Chamakh looks dangerous on the left but Raul Bravo wins a throw for Olympiakos.
Maresca hits an early volley from long distance. Straight into the arms of Carrasso.
Olympiakos kick off the second half, attacking the right.
See you in 15 minutes for the second half...
And that's the last action of the first half. Bordeaux have been utterly dominant and Olympiakos look inept in every area. They need an early goal in the second half and a minor miracle if they are to get back into the game.
Derbyshire has put the ball in the net for the Greek side. But he's offside. LuaLua's shot was touched in by Derbyshire but he was a shade offside. Good decision.
That would have been a cracking goal for Gourcuff
Gourcuff whips the free kick in and it again sails over Nikopolidis and strikes the post. That was clearly a cross and Nikopolidis was nearly embarressed for a second time.
Gourcuff has really started to have an influence on the game in the last 10 minutes. He is central to a move which sees Wendell fouled in a dangerous area
Five minutes from half time and Olympiakos need a pick-me-up. They look out of their depth, to be honest.
Olympiakos break and Raul Bravo's cross is met by Zairi who should have hit the target at the back post. The ball came across at some speed and Zairi will be disappointed he hasn't made the keeper work. Olympiakos's best chance of the game there.
Bordeaux nearly grab a second. Tremoulinas's cross find Fernando who gets a second bite at it after Torosidis left it to his goalkeeper. The misunderstanding almost let Fernando in
The booming support of the Greek fans has been replaced with a complete lack of atmosphere in Bordeaux. A very quiet stadium at then moment.
That's only Bordeaux's second shot in the whole game. Two more than Olympiakos have mustered, however.
Great movement by Bordeaux again resulting in a chance for Chamakh. Gourcuff put him through but Chamakh's left footed cross from the edge of the box is saved. Nice play though.
Plasil looked to have been fouled on the edge of the Olympiakos box but the Portuguese ref tells him to get to his feet. He's probably right actually.
Derbyshire is in the thick of it again. Again down the left, he beats his man and puts a right footed cross in for Zairi, but Carrasso gathers the ball
Chamakh counters for Bordeaux but his cross from the right only finds the hands of Nikopolidis.
Derbyshire has done well there. He beats Chalme and puts a good low cross into LuaLua but it's cut out.
Derbyshire, for whom it's been a frustrating night thought he was through the defence there, but the flag was up.
Chalme is the sheriff of the Bordeaux defence. Zairi was shown the shoulder there as the ball trickles out for a goal kick to the French side
Tremoulinas puts another ball into the Olympiakos box but this time it's out for a throw. Bordeaux's only opponent in this game is complacency.
Beautiful football by Bordeaux. Fernando pulling the strings this time. The final pass to Wendell was a bit too hard but the French champions are in complete control here
LuaLua makes a nuisance of himself in the Bordeaux defence but the towering Chalme is having none of it. Dealt with.
Torosidis, the Olympiakos man already on a yellow, fools the ref into awarding a free kick. He was adjudged to have been pushed by Chamakh but Chamakh barely touched him
Olympiakos counter attack with LuaLua, but his shot from the left side of the box is blocked Chalme.
Zairi fizzes a ball across the Bordeaux penalty area but again it comes to nothing. At least the Greek side are showing that they actually want to win this game now
Chamakh is down and looks to be in some pain. But the Arsenal target has gingerly picked himself up and we're going again
Olympiakos find themselves in the Bordeaux penalty box for the first time but the high cross by Maresca on the right failed to find its target
Gourcuff showed some neat footwork to get through the Olympiakos defence but evetually lost it to Raul Bravo.
Bordeaux's full backs Chalme and Tremoulinas are camped in the Olympiakos half and pinning the Greek champions back. Bordeaux are looking for Chamakh at the earliest opportunity
Excellent play by Bordeaux after Chamakh dropped deep to collect the ball, but the pass forward was overhit and is out for a Olympiakos throw in their left back position
Olympiakos are really struggling to get into this, they have only just got out of their own half an we're in the 7th minute
The goalkeeper has made a horrible error there. The resulting free kick was whipped in by Gourcuff and flew straight over Nikopolidis's head. He should really have done better and Olympiakos really have a mountain to climb now
Yellow card for Torosidis.
Olympiakos have to win tonight but it's Bordeaux making the early running.
Fernando is involved again but his 25 yard shot is high and wide
Fernando darts into the Olympiakos half straight away but his pass to Chamakh rolls out for a goal kick.
Bordeaux are playing in red and white stripes tonight and Olympiakos are in black. The home side are shooting from left to right and it is they who kick things off.
Interestingly for English fans, there is a place in the Olympiakos starting line-up for former Blackburn Rovers player Matt Derbyshire
A 2-2 draw with relegation-threatened Giannina leaves them six points behind leaders Panathinaikos, who they play this weekend.
Greek champions Olympiakos, who had a late goal controversially disallowed in the first leg, are also seeking some respite from a disappointing league campaign.
However, Blanc's men have won six straight Champions League matches, topping a group which included Bayern Munich and Juventus.
The French champions, managed by Laurent Blanc, have not won a game since their 1-0 victory in Greece in the first leg on 23 February.
Bordeaux are hoping to put miserable league form behind them as they look to overcome Olympiakos and reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Olympiakos XI: Nikopolidis, Mellberg, Raul Bravo, Papadopoulos, Torosidis, Stoltidis, Datolo, Maresca, Derbyshire, Jaouad Zairi, LuaLua
Bordeaux XI: Carrasso, Ciani, Chalme, Tremoulinas, Diarra, Menegazzo, Gourcuff, Wendell, Plasil, Sane, Chamakh
