2 - 2
15:00 +00:00, April 4, 2010
Goodison Park, England
Referee: Howard Webb
West Ham's second half performance deserved some sort of reward, though David Moyed will be wondering what happened to his team at the interval.
This could prove to be a crucial point for the Hammers, who pull a point clear of Hull outside of the relegation zone.
And there goes the full-time whistle.
Can only be seconds left now.
West Ham will make a change to run down what time there is left. Danny Gabbidon replaces Junior Stanislas.
Cahill is down injured, we've been stopped for a good minute now. So we'll be having more than three minutes added on as that time is now up.
The corner breaks for Ilan on the edge of the area, and he shins it way over the bar.
Corner to West Ham!
Three minutes to be added on
Stanislas shoots from a stupid angle when he had options. It's blocked and his team-mates are furious
Baines chips it into the box but it's headed away
Upson fells Saha 30 yards out. Squeeky bum time for the Hammers again
West Ham still look hungry for a winner, but surely they'll take a point?
Can Everton get themselves in front a third time?
Great cross from Faubert, and Ilan throws himself at the ball with a diving header. Superb goal. Hammers level again!
Stanislas fires over from 25 yards. Speculative.
Wonderful cross the left by Baines and the unmarked Yakubu heads perfectly into the bottom corner. Green hopeless. The whole of Hull in ecstasy. That's four in five for the Yak against West Ham.
Jack Rodwell is on to replace Leon Osman
Baines takes the corner with his left from the right. Cahill misses the headed but the rebound falls to Jagielka, who fires over with an over-head kick
Finally some good work from Everton and it results in Parker putting Neville's cross behind.
You can't see another goal in this game.
Cole shoots straight into the arms of Howard from 25 yards.
A hopeful effort from Yakubu ends up way over the bar.
A change for West Ham as Ilan replaces Mido.
It comes in from the left by Noble, Upson is penalised for a push on Heitinga and it's a free-kick
And up at the other end Parker wins a corner.
Parker is caught by Yakubu and it's a free-kick to the Hammers in their own box. The home fans are booing again and are really getting on Webb's back now.
Pienaar chips it into the box and it's headed away with ease
Now Cahill is brought down by Kovac 30 yards out. Can Everton find a winner?
That penalty appeal seems to have given Everton a shot in the arm.
Da Costa brings down Saha. The Frenchman got to the ball first and was clearly brought down. Howard Webb says no. Boos from the home fans.
Noble is the latest player to enter the book.
This game has changed remarkably. Everton cannot string any passes together now.
The free-kick is worked short, it comes to Heitinga but his shot is dragged wide.
Cole is hobbling a bit, he'll go to the sidelines for more treatment
Cole slides in on Yakubu and is penalised. It's about 25 yards out. Cole comes out the worst though and needs a bit of treatment
Everton make a change. Bilyaletdinov is replaced by Yakubu in an attacking change. Yakubu has scored in three of his last four games against the Hammers.
Superb break by West Ham. Stanislas brings it 40 yards and slips Cole in with a perfect pass. Cole shoots from inside the D... but mishits it and it rolls wide of the post. What a chance.
There's still no noise from the home fans, but the away fans are in fine voice now.
Kovac tries to get a header on goal but gets no power on it and Everton clear.
Another corner to West Ham. It's all the Hammers
West Ham had been on top for the last 10 minutes and the goal was coming. Everton have not started in the second half.
Da Costa bundles the ball over the line, you can't describe it any other way. A scrappy goal for a team scrapping for their lives.
Another corner for West Ham.
The corner comes in and Everton cannot clear their lines. Parker intelligently tries to chip Howard and it comes back off the bar
A deflected cross into the box arrives at Mido's feet, his touch is poor but West Ham have the corner
West Ham seem to be growing in confidence now. Can they find a leveller?
Noble takes the free-kick and plants it right out of play for a goal-kick.
Cahill brings down Parker as he looks to break forward, and the Australia international will be the latest to enter the notebook. That's his ninth of the season.
Cahill tries to find Saha in the box, Green comes out confidently to claim
Baines looks to be okay now, stealing the ball from Stanislas

For those that do not know, earlier today it was Birmingham 1-1 Liverpool, Fulham 2-1 Wigan
Parker blocks Pienaar's hopeful shot from distance
Jagielka blocks the shot of Mido, but the Hammers stiker was offside anyway.
Parker collects the ball on the left but doesn't look like he has a clue what he's doing, and it promptly robbed.
The atmosphere really is not existant. But then there's little to cheer about.
Mido fires a pass across the face of goal but Stanislas can't reach it
It's a scrappy start. So no different to the first 45.
Looks like he'll be okay after some treatment and is trying to run it off. The first time he's needed to kick the ball he winces
Baines is down in pain, he looks in a bad way. He might have twisted his knee here. His foot got stuck in the turf.
West Ham kick off in the second half
The Hammers simply have to improve after the break. They certainly need to be more attack-minded. See you in 15.
West Ham should be level, and Distin should be off, but Mido's poor penalty was saved.
Everton lead, and while they have enjoyed the lion's share of possession they have hardly turned that into chances.
And the half-time whistle goes
One minute to be added
It's floated into Cahill at the back stick and Green comes to collect. He eventually does after almost spilling
Osman does brilliantly to win a corner. A chance for a second before the break.
Now Parker is tripped by Osman
Mido catches Pienaar very late and gets a yellow card for this trouble
Saha has his shot superbly blocked by Da Costa.
Great run from Baines as he cuts in from the left and almost gets a shot off
Bilyaletdinov fires a shot over from 20 yards
Neville's cross is deflected into the arms of Green. And then Green thumps his kick straight into touch.
Howard dives low down to his right and pushes the ball round the post. The penalty from Mido lacked power, and that enabled Howard to get across
Distin gets away with a yellow. That's amazing. Cole was through and about to shoot. If it's a pen it had to be a red card too
Carlton Cole is tripped in the box when through on goal. Distin will the foul.
Cahill shoots from about 23 yards, but it's always dragged wide of Green's right post.
There is hardly any noise coming from the fans. Who'd have thought it with this rip-roarer of a game?
Mido brings down Neville, free-kick
Nice idea from Heitinga, floating a ball down the right for Neville to run on to - but there's too much on it and it goes out.
Baines crosses from the left, it goes over everyone and West Ham can bring the ball away
A classic this is not.
Bilyaletdinov brings down Parker. West Ham take the free-kick quickly and lose the ball
West Ham improving now, but still no action in the box
Neville crosses from the right, and it's easy for Green to claim
West Ham look uncertain right now. But will Everton go for the jugular?
This is a real test for West Ham now, they have to show real character to battle back into this. Otherwise they could take a spanking
Great cross into the box by Baines, Spector tries to head clear in front of Bilyaletdinov but gets it all wrong. It balloons up into the air for Cahill to nod on and it's Bilyaletdinov who glances a header home past the helpless Green
Another foul, this time Pienaar is sent to the deck
Everton fans getting frustrated after a misplaced pass down the line.
Everton can't see to get in round the back of West Ham, and are finding the door shut down the centre
Cole lays it off for Mido, who sees his shot well blocked
Fulham 2 - 1 Wigan Athletic (Brede Hangeland 58')
Birmingham 1 - 1 Liverpool (Liam Ridgewell 56')
Saha hits is, and it ends up closer to the corner flag than the goal!
There's pushing and shoving in the wall, the ref has words with Faubert
So, a free-kick in a great position again. Saha is interested this time, along with Baines
Parker clatters into Cahill 25 yards out, that's a booking for the midfielder. His tenth of the season and he gets a two-game ban. He'll miss the home game against Sunderland and the trip to Liverpool. A huge blow.
Everton growing in confidence now, but yet to unlock the defence
It is Baines, and he thumps it into the wall. Disappointing - especially as he's my fantasy captain
Cahill is pushed over by Da Costa, this time the free-kick is about 30 yards out. Baines perhaps?
Carlton Cole's taken a knock to his knee, the game stops as he picks himself up.
A goal at Craven Cottage. Fulham 1-1 Wigan. Stefano Okaka 47.
Exactly the same thing happens again, this time it's Parker with the shot from distance and there's no deflection this time. It's wide for a goal-kick
The corner is headed away but only to Stanislas, he hits and shot which is deflected behind
The ref wants words, too much pushing and shoving going on around the goalkeeper
Corner to West Ham, Jagielka heading a cross behind.
It's worked out to the left by Jagielka, but Everton never really look in control of the move and it breaks down with a mis-placed Pienaar cross
Upson fouls Osman in the centre of the park, another chance to pump one into the box
A quiet start to the game, though West Ham on top
Steven Gerrard has scored for Liverpool, Glen Johnson with the assist. Birmingham 0-1 Liverpool
Bilyaletdinov crosses left-footed but West Ham deal with it, although not convincingly
Saha is bundled over by Upson on the right flank. A chance to deliver into the box
Six defeats in a row for West Ham ... surely it can't be seven?
Everton kick-off following Howard Webb's whistle.
Two other games happening right now. Birmingham are goalless at home to Liverpool, while Jason Scotland's first ever Premier League goal means Wigan have a vital 1-0 lead at a Bobby Zamora-less Fulham.
Everton have not lost at home since the first week of the season. West Ham have not won away in the same period. Surely it points to just one outcome?
Everton make just one change with Diniyar Bilyaletdinov coming in for Jack Rodwell.
Kieron Dyer, who failed to finish last week's defeat to Stoke, did not prove his fitness after a hamstring injury and is replaced by Radoslav Kovac, which is the only other change to Gianfranco Zola's side.
Junior Stanislas has come into the team at the last moment as Valon Behrami was injured in the warm-up and had to be withdrawn.
However, Everton have picked up more Premier League points against West Ham than any other team. And that of course means that the Hammers' record at Goodison Park is woeful.
With Hull playing at home to Burnley next Saturday, the Hammers know the pressure could really be on so a victory at Goodison Park could make all the difference.
It's a huge game today, more so for Gianfranco Zola than for David Moyes. Zola knows a win here will go a long way to securing Premier League survival
