Hiddink's team were good value in the first half but Juve really put the pressure on after the break. The Italians have proved they can make a good game of it in Turin.
The final whistle blows and Chelsea have a valuable 1-0 win.
Nedved has a last gasp effort from 30-yards. His shot takes a deflection and goes inches wide of Cech's post. The ref didn't see the deflection and no corner is awarded.
Alex heads Del Piero's delivery away from danger.
Mancienne is penalised for a push on Marchisio and Juve have one more chance to pump the ball into the box.
Buffon launches a goalkick down the pitch. Chelsea have regained some composure at the back and keep possession as they clear their ranks.
Juve are pushing forward looking for an equaliser. But they lose possession and Marchisio handles the ball in desperation as the Blues break. He gets booked.
Trezeguet turns Terry and then scuffs his shot form the edge of the box. If the sub had more time on the pitch he may have done better.
Anelak spots a gap in Juve's midfield and powers through it. The Frenchman hits a long-range shot that is inches wide of Buffon's far post. A great effort!
Juventus make their final change. Trezeguet comes on for Sissoko. A striker for a holding midfielder.
Mancienne has gone into midfield and has made some tidy touches to keep possession for Chelsea.
Drogba falls over again in the box. This time there actually was a challenge from Chiellini but the ref judged it to be a legal shoulder barge.
Liverpool have scored from a set piece to take a 1-0 lead at Real Madrid.
Chelsea make another change. Ballack goes off and young defender Mancienne comes on.
Drogba lumps the ball into the box for Anelka, who whimps out of a header with Chiellini.

Del Piero has a chance to put in a good cross from a freekick. Ballack has to concede a corner.
Marchionni helps on a goalkick. Marchisio latches onto the pass and hits a dipping shot wide of Cech's goal.
The game has gone a bit scrappy and that will suit Chelsea as Juvetnus were really getting up a head of steam.
Molinaro makes a tough but fair tackle on Anelka... just like in the good old days.
Malouda gets his first touch and he has popped up on the left flank. Anelka is now over on the right.
Hiddink has seen enough and makes a change for Chelsea. Off goes Kalou, who had been having a great game, and on comes Malouda. Maybe they will switch to a 4-4-2 as Juve increase the pressure.
Amauri wins yet another header. He twists his neck at an unnatural angle to get his effort on target but he can't generate enough power.
Chelsea work the ball from one side of the pitch to the other. Kalou races down the right and crosses for Drogba, but Buffon comes out to collect the ball.
Amauri is playing as a target man for Juve and he is consistantly winning his headers. he just needs the rest of the team to do better with his knockdowns.
Sissoko falls over and Mikel breaks for the Blues. His pass pushes Lampard too wide and the danger is gone.
Del Piero plays a one-two with Marchionni but the midfielder slips and his return ball is wayward.
Juve have upped their game in the second half and now have 53% possession of the ball. But still no goal.
Tiago has had to go off. On comes Marchisio.
Marchionni comes off the flank, beats Cole and fires off a shot that dips late but drops on top of Cech's goal.
Tiago, a former Chelsea player, is back on his feet and the game can go on.
Tiago gets taken out by his own player and needs some attention.
A stat has just flashed up to say that Nedved, the oldest player on the pitch, has covered the most ground.
This game is almost like a cup final, not the first leg of a Champions League tie.
Kalou probes the right flank and wins a corner. Kalou's shot is blocked and then Buffon gets his body behind a low shot from Lampard.
There are a few tough tackles flying in now and this game certainly has an edge to it.
Drogba powers into the box and Chiellini goes shoulder to shoulder with Drogba, who once again decides to fall over. No penalty.
Meanwhile, Machionni comes on to replace Camoranesi.
Molinaro goes in high and late on Mikel. Although the defender apologises he gets booked, and rightly so.
Camoranesi has picked up a hamstirng injury and limps off to be replaced... well I say replaced but the game has started again.
Lampard chases a lost cause, wins the ball back and sets Bosingwa galloping down the flank. The defender crosses and Drogba powers a header jusat wide.
Nedved beats Bosingwa and races towards the box. He lines up a long-range shot but his standing foot slips and his effort trickles through to Cech.
Mellberg lumps the ball into the box and Terry heads the ball behind for a corner under pressure from Amauri.
Amauri wins a corner for Juve but Del Piero's delivery is very poor.
Lampard start quickly and only a last gasp block by Camoranesi prevents Kalou racing through on goal.
Chelsea get the second half under way, kicking from left to right.
The ref blows for half-time and although Chelsea had the better of it Juventus showed enough to keep hopes alive.
....Cech comes off his line to collect the cross amid a bunch of players. Great goalkeeping.
Nedved shows a flash of brilliance down the left and wins a corner at the end of the half....
Del Piero stands over the freekick on the right of the box. His cross/shot hits the wall. Very disappointing.
Nedved wins another freekick and Juve edge forward a few more yards. One more and they will be in shooting range. Terry obliges with a handball.
Camoranesi is fouled by Lampard. The Italian rolls around holding his back.
Nedved scuffs a shot on the turn and the ball trickles through to Cech.
We are seeing a different Drogba than the one we saw under Scolari's management.
Drogba holds the ball up and Chelsea pour forward. Kalou crosses from the right but it is low and too close to Buffon.
Del Piero embarresses Cole with some skill and the fullback isn't happy. Cole fouls the Juve striker for his impudence.
Nedved and Amauri go for the same ball and that is typical of Juve this half. One moment they are fantastic and the next they are awful.
Ballack and Drogba use the injury break to discuss tactics.
Terry blocks a shot form Sissoko and the Juve midfielder is down injured. No foul from Terry though, just a strong challenge.
Nedved combines with Amauri down the left flank. Nedved gets into the box but is crowded out by three defenders.
...Ballack and Alex both go to win the header and get in each others way.
Another corner for Chelsea...
Lampard delivers a corner and Molinaro does a better job this time heading clear.
Juve escape from some comedy defending unpunished.
Lampard attempts a Ronaldo-like freekick but drives his shot straight into the wall... not unlike Ronaldo.
Del Piero makes a yard of space to shoot on the edge of the box but his effort barely avoids going out for a throw.
Camoranesi has pulled Cole out of position and the full-back fouls him in the centre-circle.
Camoranesi whips in a corner. Cech punches clear.

A good fight back from Juventus who are spending much more time in the Chelsea half now.
From the corner Chelsea go to sleep but Legrottaglie can't tap the ball into the net at the back post.
Tiago pulls a great pass out of the bag and Del Piero races into the box and flashes a shot across the face of goal... Cech makes agreat save to push the ball past the far post.
Ballack strides forward with the ball. Cole goes past Sissoko but can't produce a decent pass in the final third of the pitch.
Here come Juve with Camoranesi. But once again the forward pass is wayward and the visitors lose possession.
Lampard is changing his boots... or is he going to put his slippers on and put his feet up?
Molinaro makes a complete mess of a routine clearence.
Worrying times for Juventus. the Italian team just need to put their foot on the ball and keep possession.
Lampard crosses. Drogba wins another header in the box but this time he can't guide his effort on target.
The Chelsea players are stroking the ball around with confidence now. Bosingwa finds Anelka, who cuts inside his defender but his shot is blocked.
Drogab runs off to celebrate. No sign of that injury now.
Kalou collects Juve's half clearence and plays a great throughball for Drogba, who turns in the box and slots the ball past Buffon. GOAL!!!
Lampard fires in a freekick form the right. It is too low and short and hits the Juve wall.
Drogba falls over in the box but it isn't a penalty. Now he pretends he is the most injured player in the history of football... as he usually does.
Alex is pushing out of defence to make an extra player in midfield when Chelsea have the ball.
Bosingwa probes the same flank and crosses to the near post. Drogba gets a yard on his defender but can't keep his header down and it flashes over the bar.
Chiellini doesn't have the pace to stick with Kalou but the forward's cross is a poor one. The right flank looks like a good option for Chelsea.
Chelsea pass the ball around the back four until Boswinga gets bored and hits it long, looking for Drogba, but his pass misses the traget.
Alex prevents a quick break from Sissoko.
Kalou drives in from the right. He goes past Molinaro and Nedved and hits a low shot that Buffon easily saves.
