FULL-TIME: MANCHESTER UNITED 4-0 DYNAMO KIEV
Ronaldo completes the rout with a typical run down the left, cutting in on to his favoured right foot and smashiong past the keeper. Lovely goal from the winger and he's happy with that effort.
GOAL: MANCHESTER UNITED 4-0 DYNAMO KIEV
United are happy to run down the clock now. Kiev are enjoying some possession at last but to no avail.
Rincon slashes a cross-cum-shot through the box but there's no one there to guide it home. Sums up Kiev's night really.
Time running out for that consolation goal for Kiev. I'm not too sure they're even worried about restoring any pride anymore.
Rooney cracks an effort from 25 yards but it's at a nice height for the keeper who makes a comfortable save.
Ronaldo rushes on to a Rooney through ball but Kaddouri tracks him and forces the Portuguese to scuff his shot over the bar.
Bangoura comes on for Kiev in a desperate attempt to grab a consolation, but that's all it will be now.

Wonderful cross from Nani finds Rooney unmarked in the box and the striker makes no mistake from eight yards by caressing his shot into the bottom corner. Game well and truly over!
GOAL: MANCHESTER UNITED 3-0 DYNAMO KIEV
The United fans seem pretty content with things out there. They're watching a young side dominate and edge closer to the knockout stages.
Pinball in the Kiev box almost presents Saha with a chance. The keeper stays focussed though and gathers the danger.
Change for United sees goalscorer Pique make way for fellow youngster John Evans.
Fine one-handed save from Kuszcak denies Ghioane from close range. He got down well to his left and stopped a certain goal.
No goals in the other game between Arsenal and Slavia Prague by the way. Sounds like a dull one, not like what we have here.
Rebrov's introduction has certainly revived the visitors. He's getting into dangerous positions and playing some cheeky passes in behind the united defence.
Nani is starting to get in on the act now. A couple of testing corners and crosses has given Shovkovsky plenty to do in the Kiev goal.
Tevez sees a turning shot well blocked by the keeper and Simpson is denied his first goal for United as he follows up the rebound.
United are controlling the pace of the game. Whenever they want to break they can and when they want to slow it down they have the players to hold up the play.
Still no outfield changes for Sir Alex. He may think about resting Rooney and Ronaldo before the 90 are up.
The game is far more open now and that's bringing the best out of both side's attacking options.
What a chance! Kiev's best yet. Markovic clips a cross along the face of the goal and Rincon stretches but cannot get on the end of it and it whistles to safety.
Tevez wants an age to hit a simple effort into the back of the net. Kiev recover as Tevez dallies in the box.
Kiev are building attacks slowly and that is allowing United to pick them off at will. Better from the visitors though.
Lovely interchange between Rooney and Ronaldo and there's some gaps appearing in that Kiev defence.
Ronaldo has brought his box of tricks with him tonight. He's trying all of them too, with varying success.
The game has certainly opened up this half. Due largely to the substitutions.
Shovkovsky makes a fine stop from Rooney at the other end low to his left.
Rincon has a pop that stings the hands of Kuszcak for his first touch. It was at a nice height and the keeper repels the danger.
United back on the attack and Nani's corner is well watched by Shovkovsky who gathers ahead of the onrushing Vidic.
Kiev have not lost away in their domestic league, but the class level here is a million miles away from that of the Ukraine league - with all due respect.
At least Luzhny has shaken things up at the break. They need to give it a go if they're to get anything from this.
And we're back under way.
Two changes at the break for Kiev. Sergei Rebrov is on, while Man Utd bring on Kuszcak for van der sar who picked up a slight knock.
HALF-TIME: MANCHESTER UNITED 2-0 DYNAMO KIEV
Ten men behind the ball for Kiev despite being two goals adrift. That tells you everything you need to know about the visitors.
But if anything, it's United who look like adding to their total.
Kiev do at least string together a few passes in midfield but have little firepower up front to cause any problems.
The body language of the Kiev players suggests even they don't believe they can find a way back into the game.
Surely Kiev will have to gamble more now! They win a corner and Rotan slashes wide from a corner when he really should have crossed for a team-mate.
A rather frustrating start for the hosts has turned into a stroll in the park. United can afford to ease up and rest key players if they choose.
Lovely break as Rooney and Tevez combine before the Argentine strikes past the keeper from just inside the box to complete a fine flowing move.
GOAL: MANCHESTER UNITED 2-0 DYNAMO KIEV
Ronaldo is starting to come to the party now. A couple of fine breaks have got United buzzing.

The game certainly needed a goal, and United will fancy their chances of rattling in a few more.
Gerard Pique scores his first ever goal for Manchester United with an assured header from Rooney's cross. It was a regulation header for the defender and he made no mistake from eight yards out.
GOAL: MANCHESTER UNITED 1-0 DYNAMO KIEV
Van der Sar is a spectator as United prepare another attack. The keeper has hardly broken sweat with United occupying the visitors' half.
Fletcher drills a low shot straight at Shovkovsky for United's first effort on target.
Ronaldo looks United's most potent threat so far. The Ukrainians are holding firm and stifling Rooney and Tevez, but winger Ronaldo is finding some room out on the left.
Nani's corner is poor and his cross from the breakdown of the move is too long for everyone.
Young full-back Simpson wins his side a corner as the pressure begins to mount on the Kiev goal.
United are starting to mix things up though. They're knocking on the door and edging closer to finding the breakthrough.
The crowd are in good voice. They're keeping themselves amused as the action on-field turns somewhat dour.
To say Kiev would settle for a draw is an understatement.
Ferguson will be happy with how his team have started as they're completely on top so far. Kiev are getting numbers behind the ball and rarely pushing men forward to join the lone striker.
Booking for Wayne Rooney after a wild, stupid hack at Vashchuk and he can have no complaints. Senseless from the England striker.
The home side are dominant and Nani sees his low shot heroically blocked at the last by Federov.
And the possession stats show 71%-29% in favour of Manchester United.
Kiev are the whipping boys of this group with three defeats from three matches. They've shown little to suggest that they'll change their fortunes tonight.
Ronaldo is clipped by Diakhate on the edge of the box but the referee somehow misses the infringement. It was a clear trip and the Kiev defender was lucky the ref wasn't looking.
I must admit, I was slightly jealous of my colleague who had the pleasure of covering Liverpool's goalfest yesterday. I could certainly do with a game like that tonight!
Ronaldo sets up Tevez for a half chance. The striker rushes his cross, though, and it runs away for a goal kick.
Not much between the two sides at the moment. United look confident and industrious but Kiev look edgy and cautious.
Nothing doing from the corner and Kiev can push out of their box and relieve the pressure.
Dangerous cross from Nani forces Diakhate to make an important headed clearance at the back post. Corner.
Interesting break from Kiev. Ghione breaks down the left but delivers a poor cross which Van der Sar mops up.
A few empty seats around Old Trafford tonight. Not many but there's a few dotted around which is unusual at this great arena.
Ronaldo flashes a volley wide from a corner. Not a bad effort but the defender made it hard for him.
It will be interesting to see how some of United's replacements fare tonight. It's still a strong side and they'll be looking for a comfortable ride this evening.
Former Arsenal defender Oleg Luzhny is in the opposing dugout tonight and he will be pitting his wits against Ferguson who celebrates his 21st year at the helm.
We're under way!

starter at right-back. Wes Brown is dropped to the bench - as was Anderson - to give 20-year-old
Simpson his first European start.
Manchester United are all but through to the next round of this glorious competition. Dynamo Kiev are the visitors to Old Trafford hoping to deny United's passage. A draw will be enough for Alex Ferguson's side and kick-off is minutes away.
