Eden Hazard: My children 'settled' in London, I may stay here after retiring

Chelsea winger Eden Hazard has revealed that he will consider living in London permanently once he retires as his children are "very settled" in the English capital.

Reports in Spain in recent days have claimed that Real Madrid have made luring Hazard, 26, from Stamford Bridge their top priority this summer as they look for the latest in a long line of signings and the long-term successor to Cristiano Ronaldo.

But in an interview with Chelsea's official website, Hazard -- who joined the club in 2012 from Lille and has gone on to win the Premier League, Europa League and League Cup -- insists his wife and three sons are very happy and he could settle in London over France or his native Belgium when he retires.

"I don't know, it's hard to say," Hazard said when asked where he would consider living when he hangs up his boots. "Maybe I will live in Belgium, to be close to the family, or else I could go somewhere with nice weather.

"My kids are very settled in London so it could be here. [The decision] is a long way off yet so we will see."

Hazard has returned to the form that saw him voted PFA Player of the Year as Chelsea won the Premier League title in the 2014-15 season, contributing 11 goals and four assists this term to help Antonio Conte's men surge 10 points clear at the top of the table.

Madrid are reportedly willing to break the world transfer record -- set by Manchester United when they signed Paul Pogba from Juventus for £89.3 million last summer -- to make a deal to sign Hazard happen, though Chelsea's position is that the Belgium captain is not for sale at any price.
