Brisbane's John Aloisi left frustrated by refereeing, FFA scheduling

Brisbane Roar claimed a point in Perth despite heading west with a spate of injuries and suffering another before kick-off, playing in stifling conditions with a tired group and then having decisions not go their way.

It's enough to make coach John Aloisi proud.

The Roar arrived in Perth missing Corey Brown, Daniel Bowles, Kye Rowles and Jack Hingert before Thomas Kristensen was hurt in the warm-up.

He has little time to stew on Saturday's 2-2 draw with an Asian Champions League clash at home on Tuesday night against Thai club Muangthong United, but there were plenty of sources of frustration for Aloisi.

The first was Glory's goal to Nebojsa Marinkovic being allowed to stand despite Diego Castro's cross clearly coming from out of bounds.

"I'm sure they will fix that in Round 26 when the video review comes in, but it's happened twice now," Aloisi said.

"It's disappointing and the assistant referee has to help the referee there. He is standing in line and I don't know what else he could be looking at."

The second was a potential penalty for handball not given against Perth defender Dino Djulbic.

"Some referees give it, some don't," he said.

"It can be clearer that if the ball is going on target and someone is on the floor and it touches his hand, firstly as a coach I would be saying don't go to ground and it should be a penalty."

The Perth heat makes recovery crucial for the Roar and Aloisi was again critical of the scheduling. New signing Avraam Papadopoulos is not ready to play and Hingert is the only injured player who may return to the line-up.

"When they know we are playing midweek, it doesn't make a lot of sense that we have to go to Perth and fly back to play on Tuesday night against Muangthong," he said.

"I'm sure the FFA will change it in the future because player safety has to come into consideration. It could be the reason why we are getting players injured."
