Kaka to replace injured Douglas Costa in Brazil's Copa America squad

Orlando City SC striker Kaka has been called into the Brazil squad for the Copa America to replace injured Douglas Costa.

Costa, 25, has a muscle injury in his left thigh that will force the Bayern Munich forward to miss the 100th anniversary edition of the event, according to a report on the Brazilian federation website.

Kaka, 34, has 91 caps and 29 goals for the Selecao during his international career.

Costa was part of a Bayern team that won the Bundesliga and the German Cup in manager Pep Guardiola's final season with the team.

Brazil opens the Copa America with a match versus Ecuador at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California on June 4. Their other two Group B matches will be against Haiti and Peru.
