Video: Whitecaps' Andre Lewis suffers spectacular backflip celebration FAIL

Posted by Chris Wright

Vancouver Whitecaps invited college side Victoria Vikes over to the Centennial Stadium on Sunday afternoon for the annual spring friendly game between the two sides, a game which was eventually settled in the Caps' favour by a single goal from Andre Lewis in the 90th minute.

Having tapped-in a back-post volley from close range to win the game at the death, Lewis wheeled away in celebration and, as a bit of a flourish, attempted a Nani-style handspring/back-flip goal celebration.

However, it didn't quite go to plan for the Jamaican midfielder who -- let's put it this way -- didn't quite manage to get the 'purchase' he required on take-off...

We think a polite ripple of golf applause is appropriate.
