Players having to pootle around town in a "car of shame" for a week as a forfeit for a particularly lousy showing during training is hardly a new concept when it comes to English football (Portsmouth's old "A-Team style" Robin Reliant three-wheeler is a bona fide legend of the genre) but never have we felt more sorry for a recipient of the "car of shame" forfeit than we do for Swansea's Angel Rangel.
Having been beaten into last place in a game of "Crossbar Challenge" by the rest of his Swans' teammates, the Spanish full-back has been forced to drive a bright pink, butterfly-covered Suzuki Vitara around for the rest of the week.
Although admittedly mortified by his garish new mode of transport, at least Rangel is taking the punishment manfully, Tweeting the following:
Absolutely devastated I have to drive this for a few days but will do it for the team. #crossbar... http://t.co/j3PKQHoe3Y
