Video: Kasimpasa centre-back Ryan Donk unveils new 'second ball' defensive technique

We were treated to a ding-dong of an game in the Turkish Superlig on Sunday as Kasimpasa beat Besiktas 2-1, with the away side reduced to nine men by the end of the game and Kasimpasa's Dutch centre-back Ryan Donk debuting an innovative new technique, from henceforth to be referred to as 'The Donk', for intercepting passes.

With Besiktas breaking quickly toward the Kasimpasa goal, Donk unleashed the inaugural Donk and stopped them in their tracks with a improvised defensive manoeuvre that only contravenes the laws of the game very slightly...



Well worth a yellow card.

However, that was far from the end of the madness as Besiktas saw themselves relived of two players simultaneously in the 82nd minute when Hugo Almeida and Ramon were both sent-off for lashing out at a pitch invader.

Inexcusable you may argue, but the pitch invader in question had just bowled into unsuspecting Besiktas midfielder Manuel Fernandes from behind, buffeting him to the ground in order to halt yet another attack -- a 'revenge Donk' by the looks of things...
