He may rake in an annual salary on par with several smaller nations' GDP, but Chelsea skipper John Terry obviously isn't above nipping into his local pound shop to pick up a few bargain Christmas essentials. After all, why pay over the odds for tinsel, eh?
Indeed, the defender was spotted with a basketful of seasonal tat at Poundworld in Woking over the weekend, though it would appear that our assumption that Terry had also brought Blues teammate Oscar along for the trip were slightly wide of the mark.
In fact, it turns out that the diminutive chap to Terry's left is not Oscar at all but rather 17-year-old Knapphill Athletic winger and Chelsea fan Jack Jeffery, who was unsurprisingly astounded to find one of his footballing heroes scouring the aisles at his local discount store.
Jack, who is also on the books of Woking FC's academy, later told Get Surrey:
"My mate asked him if it was OK to have a picture. He was happy to let us. It was weird just walking in there and seeing him.
"He had a lot of stuff in his basket but I didn't really see what it was. When I told my friends they were shocked and wished they had met him as well. He's probably one of my favourite players."
