Video: FC Schweinfurt score spectacular own goal

As you may or may not be already aware, FC Schweinfurt went down 3-0 at home to 1860 Munich II in the most recent round of the Regionalliga Bayern (i.e, the Bavarian division of German football's regional fourth tier), although it took a spectacular bout of self-sabotage to flesh the result out.

With his side already a goal down and chasing the game, Schweinfurt midfielder Stefan Seufert connected sumptuously with a bafflingly powerful back pass on the halfway line, which thundered over his poor, stranded 'keeper and into the back of the Schweinfurt net without so much as bouncing ...

What a strike! A doff of the cap is definitely due.
