Video: RB Leipzig launch amazing early attack

Posted by Chris Wright

Over in the German third tier on Saturday afternoon, Red Bull Leipzig catapulted themselves into a nine-second lead against VfB Stuttgart II with what will surely go down as the most aggressive kickoff routine ever attempted.

As the first whistle sounded, eight of Leipzig's players sprinted forward in unison as the ball was laid back to one of the two defenders left guarding the goal, with a long up-and-under duly being slung forward and eventually making its way in via the forehead of striker Daniel Frahn, who put his side 1-0 up before the opposition had even realised the game had begun ...

We've heard many a coach order his players to "get into them early" over the years, but this must be some kind of record!
