Video: Agbonlahor floors One Direction's Louis Tomlinson with crunching tackle during charity game

Sunday afternoon saw a gaggle of footballers and celebrities congregate in Glasgow for an exhibition game organised by Stilyan Petrov to help raise funds for his eponymous leukaemia foundation, but Gabriel Agbonlahor obviously didn't get the memo that the day was supposed to be about charity.

Ten minutes into the second half, Agbonlahor, overcome by his competitive instincts, chased down and wiped out One Direction member Louis Tomlinson (who you may remember being "signed" by Doncaster Rovers not so very long ago) with a crunching knee-on-knee nobbler...

Apparently Agbonlahor's challenge was so robust that Tomlinson had to run off the pitch to be sick in the dressing room, with his manager for the day, Martin O'Neill confirming the grisly aftermath.

"Gabby smashed into him and he picked himself up and then was ill in the dressing room area, but he's not too bad now I think," said O'Neill.

"He had to rush off but I think he's fine, he doesn't know where he is but he's fine. He was genuinely ill but he's okay now."

Agbonlahor was then threatened and abused on Twitter by One Direction's legions of frenzied followers, though the Villa forward did promise to say sorry: "It was one of those things. I'll apologise to Louis when we meet up with everybody after the game."
