Video: Setubal keeper head-butts Porto penalty scorer, quickly falls 'injured'

Posted by Chris Wright

Porto set out to defend their Portuguese League title with a 3-1 victory over Victoria Setubal in their season opener on Sunday night, though the reigning champions were forced to come from behind to do so when they fell behind after just 13 minutes.

The home side's equaliser came from the spot, with Josue thrashing his penalty past Setubal goalkeeper Pawel Kieszek to square things at 1-1 with four minutes of the second half gone. The aftermath saw some truly reprehensible shenanigans.

As Josue attempted to pluck the ball from the back of the net and rush it back to the centre circle for the restart, the little midfielder became entangled with Kieszek, who head-butted the youngster, only to collapse as if it were he who had been attacked. Fast forward to the 1:40 mark to where the fun begins...

You'll no doubt be glad to learn that Kieszek was duly sent off for his cowardly deed. Quite right, too.
