Video: Ronaldo calms youngster in eventful Bournemouth appearance

Carlo Ancelotti fielded a near-full strength Real Madrid XI for his first game in charge of Los Blancos on Sunday, taking a star-laden squad with him to Dean Court for the preseason friendly at AFC Bournemouth, with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Mesut Ozil all starting against the newly promoted Championship side -- though, with match tickets costing upward of 60 pounds, quite frankly that's the very least we'd have settled for.

Anyway, with about 12,000 fans jammed into the facility which normally seats 9,600 (thanks to a temporary stand), the atmosphere was a little more cacophonous than usual. So Ronaldo -- as seen in this YouTube video via beIN Sport -- helped soothe the nerves of his "player escort" by putting his healing hands to work and massaging all the tension out of the young lad's shoulders...

As was to be expected, Real Madrid ran riot on the south coast, with Ronaldo scoring twice and Sami Khedira, Gonzalo Higuain, Angel di Maria and Casemiro all adding a goal apiece to complete the 6-0 rout.

Another youngster reportedly had a different type of brush with Ronaldo's greatness. A fan who posted on a Bournemouth message board said a wayward Ronaldo free kick broke the arm of a young boy in the terraces during the game -- which certainly provided said kid with the mother of all "Why is your arm in a sling?" anecdotes for the playground Monday morning!
