Video: Will Smith (yes, *that* Will Smith) overtakes Diana Ross in 'worst penalty ever attempted' stakes

Before the Champions League Final, a legends event was thrown together by UEFA at Stratford which saw, among other things, Will Smith and his bafflingly-dressed son Jaden press-ganged into taking a penalty against Edwin van der Sar.

Given the calibre of goalkeeper he was facing, you wouldn't fancy Smith's chances of scoring even if he'd have found the top corner, though sadly Van der Sar's presence betwixt the sticks was immediately rendered moot when The Fresh Prince pulled this utter stinker out of the bag...

Oh dear. Oh dear dear dear.

Debate is now raging as to whether Smith's woeful effort was actually somehow worse than Diana Ross' infamously terrible spot-kick during the opening ceremony of the '94 World Cup, when the former Supremes singer weakly shanked her penalty wide only for the goal to "burst" anyway...

We're going with Smith here. At least Ross' penalty was powerful enough to actually make it over the touch-line.
