Video: French radio host eats water rat meat on air after losing Azpilicueta bet

When Cesar Azpilicueta signed for Olympique Marseille in 2010, L'OM president Jean-Claude Dassier made the bold prediction that the then-20-year-old would be "the future right-back of the Spanish national team".

Former Marseille left-back turned radio pundit Eric Di Meco was obviously not as convinced by the young Spanish right-back's potential and immediately poo-pooed Dassier's bravado, telling his RMC co-hosts that he'd gladly "eat a rat" if Azpilicueta ever collected a Spain cap.

Lo and behold, back on February 6, Azpilicueta (or "Dave" to his friends at Chelsea) played the full 90 minutes when Spain took on Uruguay in a friendly out in Dohar, Qatar. Di Meco's comeuppance came Friday as the RMC host was served a platter of coypu meat (commonly known as "the water rat") with a side crescent of apple slices and made to feast upon his hubris...

Must've been a bitter Az-"pill"-icueta to swallow!
