Czech Republic and Turkey captains exchange carpets, yes carpets, before kick-off

Rather than head down the boring predictable old 'pennant' route again, Turkey and the Czech Republic decided to swap altogether more eye-catching trinkets before their friendly in Ankara last Wednesday evening.

As well as the rather handsome rugs, the visiting side were also bestowed with complimentary food parcels from a local takeaway firm, though the traditional Turkish meals obviously didn't go down too well with captain Tomas Rosicky as the Czech skipper was forced to run for the Ataturk Stadium toilets after being hit by sudden onset diahorrea shortly after kick-off.
