Video: QPR lock out new signee Jenas on Deadline Day

Posted by Chris Wright

There were a couple of choice tales to crop up on Deadline Day. Peter Odemwingie's little ill-advised jaunt down to Loftus Road took the headlines, while Maarten Stekelenburg's loan move to Fulham was kiboshed in mid-air as the Dutch 'keeper flew into Gatwick and Fulham youngster Patjim Kasami saw his move to Fiorentina derailed by dodgy wi-fi at a Milan hotel.

By far the most amusing, however, was the moment that QPR realised they'd made a huge mistake by signing Jermaine Jenas, locked all the doors, turned off all the lights and pretended they weren't home when the midfielder turned up to sign his new contract. . . .

You'll be glad to know that Jenas was eventually let in to Loftus Road to put pen to paper, but only after the QPR receptionist sneezed while hiding under her desk and gave the game away.
