Newcastle fan hijacks 'Ask Ba' Twitter session to chase up 40 quid unpaid car valet bill
AP PhotoNew Chelsea striker Demba Ba apparently doesn't like to pay for valet parking.Chelsea ran an 'Ask Ba' Twitter session yesterday for fans to grill new signing Demba Ba over his inside leg measurement, what flavour of syrup he likes to drink (it's definitely strawberry), who his favourite Power Ranger was, etc, etc, and predictably, the whole shebang was hijacked by Newcastle fans harboring varying degrees of disdain for the Senegalese striker.
Amid all the ire and righteous indignation, one fan, Lee Donnelly -- owner of the North East-based LJD Valet company -- used the opportunity to chase Ba up for the 40 pounds he's apparently still owed over an unpaid car valeting bill that the former Newcastle striker ran up during his time on Tyneside, affixing the #AskBa hashtag to the following Tweets:
"are u ever gonna pay me the 40 pounds for valeting ur car? take it as a no as u moved away"
"the money u owe me is 0.0001% of ur daily wage sort it out ba"
Apparently vastly rich footballers nabbing off without paying is a fairly common problem for LJD Valet, as a quick trawl through Donnelly's Tweets duly attests to, with him fingering several high(ish)-profile players for dodging the bill.
What a set of complete and utter cads!
