Jose Mourinho saw fit to drop 'keeper Iker Casillas in favour of his deputy Antonio Adan for Real Madrid's game against Malaga on Saturday evening, which they then promptly went and lost 3-2 to leave them 16 points behind Barcelona at the summit of La Liga.

Having just waddled into the Estadio La Rosaleda, Madrid president Florentino Perez was immediately confronted by a reporter who informed him that Saint Iker had been benched - a glorious moment that was captured by the cameras, as an incredulous Flo struggled to comprehend what he was being told...



Casillas spent the game on the bench with a variety of pained expressions on his face, running an emotional gamut that stretched all the way from 'utter exasperation' right down through to 'I think I might throw myself in an industrial food blender'...

After the game, Mourinho justified his decision to drop Casillas by telling the press: "At the moment, for me and my coaching staff, Adan is better than Iker."
