Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang warms-up in world's most expensive football boots: 3,000 euro Swarovski crystal Nike Mercurials
Saint-Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has a reputation for having problems with his money-to-sense ratio and his latest purchase is a clear sign that he's not getting any more thrifty.
Aubameyang took to the pitch for Les Verts' game against Lyon on Monday night in a pair of Swarovski crystal-encrusted Nike Mercurials which had been specially made for him by a Parisian design company at a cost of €3,000.
Apparently it took over two days to apply the 4,000 crystals in a design which incorporated Aubameyang's initials, squad number and Saint-Etienne's club crest and colours.
The Gabon striker then slipped out of his crystal slippers after the warm-up and played in a pair of bog standard Mercurials. Here's our Paddy being presented with his ridiculous bedazzled pumps before the game...
