A word to the wise for Manchester United fans

OK, I am sure that it is exciting to see your side, probably for the first time this season, and without having to leave your home town, but that doesn't mean you can make yourself at home - particularly as you probably won't be in the away end. That is correctly reserved for real Manchester United fans.
And I know the chances are that you probably paid something in the region of £150 for the ticket. But the cost to you of sneaking into the home end does not give you the right to lord it over the locals (what am I saying, you're locals too, right?): most of that money has gone into the back pocket of someone who cares little for football and has no desire to share their extreme profit with QPR.
It happens every time United are in town. And I imagine QPR are not the only club that has to put up with the "travelling" support that comes along with the "biggest club in the world".
For the record, QPR are more than capable of filling our own ground with our own fans, but United come along and they bring with them the touts who know that they can grab a free holiday off the hangers on who are prepared to pay over the odds for a ticket.
These "fans" can afford it: it is not as if they have to fork out to watch United every week.
A word of warning: If Man Utd win, that's fine. Nobody is expecting anything different. But don't be too surprised if celebrating in the home end does not go down too well with the home fans.
After all, being a QPR fan at the moment means living pretty much at the end of your wits. Celebrating on QPR's patch - in the home end - may be the football equivalent of walking into a cave in the middle of winter and poking a sleeping bear until he wakes.
It won't end well.
