Ancelotti will have one last attempt at convincing Higuain to remain at the Bernabeu next season as Arsenal close in on the 25-year-old. Higuain is reportedly keen to find regular first-team football and feels he is no longer a key part of Real's future, but the Sun say former Chelsea boss Ancelotti sees the forward as an important part of his set-up.

It seems no one is off limits for big-spending Monaco this summer, even managers! According to the Daily Mail, the newly-promoted side are pursuing their interest in Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas, despite the Portuguese man having another two years remaining on his contract at White Hart Lane. Although there has been little talk of current Monaco manager Claudio Ranieri leaving the club after a successful debut season, it is believed the Ligue 2 champions are already setting their sights on a long-term successor. If Monaco cannot lure AVB away from Spurs this summer, they would be likely to make a move for him next year.

Chelsea could swoop for one of Liverpool's prime targets, Sporting Lisbon defender Tiago llori, the Mirror says. The Reds have had two bids for Ilori rejected, with both offers believed to be less than Sporting's £8.5 million valuation. Now Jose Mourinho is expected to make a move for the 20-year-old, with a bid around the £7.5 million mark. While Sporting may be open to reducing their demand for the Blues, Ilori is unlikely to leave Portugal unless he is promised first-team football - something which may give Liverpool an advantage.
