The Daily Mail reports David Luiz could become Laurent Blanc's first big-money signing at Paris Saint-Germain, with a decision over the managerial role at the Ligue 1 champions set be announced on Monday.

It is tipped Blanc - who had also been in talks with Serie A outfit Roma - will be handed the reins as Carlo Ancelotti makes his way to Real Madrid. The Frenchman may immediately sanction a bid for Luiz, who is understood to be the preferred replacement for Alex, who is eager to return to Brazil. Luiz has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in recent weeks, and is tipped to depart as early as next week.

Meanwhile, Tottenham fear Chelsea could be set to use the funds from the sale of Luiz to swoop in on Brazil midfielder Paulinho. The 24-year-old has revealed an offer is on the table from Spurs, but the Daily Mirror claims the Blues are considering an 11th-hour bid for Paulinho as they look to strengthen their midfield under returned manager Jose Mourinho. Such a move would be similar to the coup pulled off last summer when Oscar was lured to Stamford Bridge as a deal with QPR seemed a formality.

Finally, Curtis Davies is reportedly set to complete his move from Birmingham to Hull on Monday, according to the Sun newspaper. The defender is on the verge of making a £2.3 million transfer, with a three-year deal expected to be signed for Steve Bruce's side. The Premier League newcomers are also lining up a deal to snare Gent’s Belgium international striker Ilombe Mboyo for £6 million.
