Gareth Bale's rumoured transfer to Real Madrid could have some serious implications with the Sun reporting that the Tottenham's move could open the way for Cristiano Ronaldo's homecoming to Manchester United.

United officials are hoping Madrid will come up with the reported £85 million transfer to snare the Welsh winger, and then be more open to their offer for Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has yet to sign a new contract in the Spanish capital and has long remembered his days at Old Trafford as some of the best in his career.

However, Paris Saint-Germain could throw a spanner in the mix, with the Daily Mail claiming the French club are preparing to steal Bale from under Madrid's nose.

PSG are reported to want Tottenham coach Andre Villas-Boas to move to Ligue 1 and now they want to reunite manager with star player.

Arsenal have yet to offer Everton the £23 million they would accept to sell midfielder Marouane Fellaini, according to a report in the Daily Mirror.

Rumours emerged last week that the Gunners were ready to offer a club-record fee to sign the Belgian midfielder, yet those reports appear to have been premature, after journalists on Merseyside were informed by Everton sources that Arsenal's bid has fallen some way short of the asking price.

Everton sources have suggested that they have yet to receive an offer for Fellaini and the danger for Arsenal must be that they will miss out on the player unless they act swiftly to get their summer spending underway.

Fellaini is not the only player Everton and Arsenal are arguing over, with the Mirror suggesting both clubs are trying to seal the capture of Swansea defender Ashley Williams.

Arsenal have long been rumoured to be interested in the 28-year-old, but Everton, under the new leadership of Roberto Martinez, has now entered the fray.

Williams was on of Martinez's signings when he was Swansea manager back in 2008 and the Spaniard has not lost his admiration for the Wales international.

And finally, some of Chelsea's best young talent is being eyed by some of the Blues' biggest rivals.

According to the Daily Mail, Lucas Piazon is wanted by Liverpool and Crystal Palace, while Barcelona are targeting young midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
