Is Cesc Fabregas bound for a return to Arsenal? The Daily Mail reports Barcelona are obliged to offer the Spain international to his former club for half the fee that Manchester United will be forced to pay if they wish to sign him.

Fabregas has been linked with United throughout the week, with incoming manager David Moyes evidently targeting the former Gunner as his No. 1 transfer target for the summer. However, due to a clause in his current deal with the La Liga champions, Fabregas may be sold back to Arsenal for as little as £20 million.

Despite this opportunity for first refusal, it remains unknown whether Arsene Wenger is interested in taking up the offer. The Daily Mirror claims a final decision will be made on Fabregas' future next week.

Should he depart the Camp Nou - and the word in Spain is that he is likely to stay at least another season - Fabregas may not be the only player moving from Spain to England. The Daily Mail states Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini could be set to bring £90 million worth of players with him.

The former Malaga boss has his sights set on his star playmaker Isco, Sevilla winger Jesus Navas and Barcelona midfielder Thiago Alcantara. Real Madrid defender Pepe is another option as Pellegrini attempts to rebuild his squad in order to reclaim the Premier League crown from rivals United.

Finally, the saga over Gareth Bale's future rumbles on, with The Sun reporting Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas will make one last plea to the club to extend the Wales international's contract. Villas-Boas is desperate to stave off the advances of Real Madrid and Barcelona, and is destined for crunch talks with club chairman Daniel Levy to keep Bale at White Hart Lane for at least another season.
