While the world waits with bated breath for the heavily expected announcement of Everton's David Moyes as successor to Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United, On the Move ponders who might take the reins at Goodison Park.

According to the Mirror, Everton officials have wasted no time in drawing up a list of potential candidates, led by Swansea manager Michael Laudrup.

Laudrup, 48, has had a stellar first season with the Welsh club, leading the Swans to a League Cup triumph before securing mid-table security in the Premier League.

The former Denmark international has also shown he has a nose for the transfer market, uncovering arguably the bargain of the season in Spanish striker Michu.

But the Swansea boss is not the only man on the radar with the club also looking at Celtic manager Neil Lennon, Wigan's Roberto Martinez and a somewhat left-field candidate in Vitor Pereira of Porto.

Whoever follows Moyes will inherit a stable squad, with only Marouane Fellaini expected to depart in the summer - the Belgian's £23 million exit clause has been tipped to be activated by either Chelsea or Manchester United.

Speaking of Chelsea, long-time stalwart Frank Lampard may be offered a new contract with the Mirror reporting that expected incoming coach Jose Mourinho is desperate to keep a hold of the England international.

Lampard and the Blues have been caught in a drawn out saga which looked likely to end with the midfielder leaving the club for either the LA Galaxy or French club Monaco.

But with Mourinho adamant in keeping together the core group of player which brought him so much success in his first spell in charge, the club are now willing to offer Lampard a new one-year deal.

And finally, Swansea boss Laudrup has his thoughts, apart from those earlier Everton rumours, fixed on a summer shake-up with the Express suggesting Blackpool's Ludovic Sylvestre could soon be on his way to the Premier League.

The former Barcelona man is out of contract at the end of the season and Laudrup, who has had his eye on the Frenchman for some time, is keen to snare the midfielder.

However, Swansea will have to contest with the likes of Fulham and Crystal Palace to gain the midfielder's signature.
