21.47 BST: Fiorentina boss Vinzeno Montella is hopeful Stevan Jovetic will stay at the club. "I think he'd be disappointed if he left, because we are building an important team here. We're giving him a team for his characteristics," Montella said. "This is a side with quality and I am certain that Jovetic strongly wants to stay."
21.01 BST: Stoke goalscorer Michael Kightly would love to play alongside Michael Owen, who is linked with a move to the Britannia. "Michael's a top, top player and his experience will only help us, so we'll see what happens," Kightly said.

17.11 BST: Speculation is mounting over the future of Fernando Llorente amid reports that Juventus have increased their offer for the Spain striker. Llorente has been left out of the side to face Real Betis in Athletic's season opener on Sunday, intensifying the conjecture over his future.

15.31 BST: Wolfsburg are still trying to sign Benat Etxebarria from Real Betis. AS reports the club and player have already reached an agreement but Wolfsburg and Real Betis have failed to agree on a transfer fee for the 25 year old midfielder, with Wolfsburg ready to pay ¬10 million and Real Betis asking for ¬13 million.
15.04 BST: West Ham striker Freddie Piquionne is demanding a pay off from the east end club before agreeing to a move to Leeds United, according to ESPN sources.
14.41 BST: The Italian media are offering conflicting reports as to whether Daniele De Rossi and Roma are willing to accept Manchester City’s £35m offer for the midfielder with leading newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport claiming Roberto Mancini has personally spoken to the player in order to convince him to make the switch to Eastlands.
14.08 BST: Michael Owen is still holding out hope of a future in the Premier League. He has said: "I want to play in the best possible team. If it was local to my house, excellent. I want to play more often, but that's not written in the contract.
"I don't really want to play in the Championship, I know I can still play in the Premier League and can still score goals."
13.53 BST: Joseph Akpala, 25, is to join Werder Bremen from Club Bruges. Bremen are ready to pay ¬1.3 million for Akpala, who scored 63 goals in 166 Jupiler League matches for Bruges and RSC Chaleroi, reports Kicker.
13.29 BST: There's a Twitter rumour doing the rounds that Kaka could join Manchester United on loan. We're unconvinced at present.
13.10 BST: Arshavin's official website reads thus: "Andrey Arshavin has arrived in St. Petersburg on a working visit."
12.44 BST: While the Javi Martinez deal to Bayern Munich is still not confirmed, the midfielder will not play for Athletic Bilbao today.

09.15 BST: Johnson, then. A number of the papers claim he is certainly off, and Sunderland appears to be his destination, amid suggestions a £10 million deal has been agreed. However, it is also stated that Everton are keen and there could be interest from Spurs and West Ham.
