Frank Lampard has become a man in demand since signalling his intentions to depart Stamford Bridge and Monaco are the latest club to make a serious offer for the 34-year-old, according to the Mail. Monaco boss Claudio Ranieri, the man who recruited Lampard at Chelsea from West Ham in 2001, is reportedly behind the move. Although the prospect of joining a second division French side could deter Lampard, Ranieri's side currently sit in second position and are among the favourites for promotion to Ligue 1. QPR have reportedly tabled an offer for Lampard, but Monaco are ready to fight for Lampard's signature if Chelsea confirm the midfielder can leave. It is believed the French side will not be able to match the England international's current wage demands, but his relationship with Ranieri could spur the deal on.

Mario Balotelli is once again making the headlines for all the wrong reasons and he features in the Sun once again with rumours of a potential move to AC Milan resurfacing. Milan have been chasing the Italian for a number of months and with the 22-year-old preparing to battle his current employers over the mammoth fine they imposed on him for a series of misdemeanours, it could become a reality within the next six months. Alexandre Pato is reportedly on the radar of club world champions Corinthians, which could pave the way for the Serie A giants to afford the "Mona Lisa" of football. The intensified rumours will spark debate at Milan's cross-city rivals and Balotelli's former club, Inter, who are also keen to benefit from Manchester City's losses.

It wasn't the cruellest of punishments, but Wayne Rooney has taken a step to redeeming his red card during England's 2-2 draw with Montenegro last year. The Mirror's images of the Manchester United striker coaching a team of Swiss youngsters in the small town of Payeme could offer an insight into Rooney's life after football as he fulfilled his promise to UEFA to engage in a number of community activities. The 27-year-old put the team through their paces before posing for some snaps afterwards.
