Liverpool striker Luis Suarez could make a stunning £40 million move to Manchester City, according to reports in the Daily Mail and Mirror newspapers.

The reports claim City boss Roberto Mancini has missed out on Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao – who may end up at Chelsea – and is therefore looking to strengthen his attack with the addition of Suarez.

The Daily Mail also suggests Mancini could offload Mario Balotelli before landing Suarez. Though his agent this week denied he would leave City, Balotelli has been heavily linked with a transfer in recent weeks.

But fear not Reds fans – Brendan Rodgers will offset the Uruguayan’s departure by bringing in Klaas Jan Huntelaar (the Sun) and Thomas Ince (the Mirror).

Another man who could leave Anfield is Pepe Reina who is said to be wanted by Arsenal, that’s in the Metro.

But Arsene Wenger is also keen on signing Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, with the France international due to meet with Andre Villas-Boas this week to determine his future. Lloris has been essentially frozen out at White Hart Lane, and the Daily Mail insists Arsenal are set to profit from the situation by offering the shot-stopper a summer escape.

Other interesting transfer rumours include Jose Mourinho’s reported interest in bringing Javier Hernandez from Man United to Real Madrid, and Marouane Fellaini’s decision to tell Chelsea he is in no hurry to join them .

The backpage headlines rightly belong to one man this morning - Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic who scored all four goals in a 4-2 win against England. The race for best Ibra pun is not quite so clear cut though.

The Sun lead the way with ‘Z Over Heels’ on the back page and ‘Av Some of Zlat’ on the front, while the Daily Mail opt for the slightly more obvious ‘Ibra-cadabra’.

The Mirror have 'Take Zlat' while the wooden spoon belongs to the Daily Star who only manage to serve up ‘Ibra Stuns England’.

Finally, there is good news and bad news for Norwich fans this morning. Manager Chris Hughton is lining up a move for a big-name striker in January. However, Carlton Cole and Marouane Chamakh are top of Hughton’s shopping list according to the Daily Mail.
