Manchester United will have another shot at making a successful signing from Everton, with Leighton Baines set to move to Old Trafford in January, according to the Mirror. Baines was reportedly United's number one target in the summer, with David Moyes keen to have the left-back join him at the Red Devils, while Sir Alex Ferguson was also keen on the England international 12 months earlier. But third time will apparently work a charm, with the report putting the chances of the 29-year-old joining United at an almost certainty. With Patrice Evra likely to move to France next summer, Baines will be seen as a long-term replacement in the defensive ranks.

Rumours linking John Terry with a move to Turkish side Galatasaray continue to gain momentum, with the Daily Mail reporting Roberto Mancini is prepared to offer the Chelsea skipper a lucrative multi-million pound, three-year deal. The Italian has requested defensive reinforcements and Terry tops his list. An offer of 3.2 million pounds per year for two years is expected, with Gala likely to embed an option to extend it for a third. Although Terry is believed to currently be on 8 million pounds a year, he is likely to receive numerous incentives to make the switch worthwhile.

The Metro reports Serie A giants Napoli are targeting a January bid for Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele. The Belgian has struggled to maintain his dominance in the Spurs midfield this season and could be tempted by a move to Italy, with coach Rafa Benitez keen on signing a holding midfielder to compliment Gokhan Inler and Marek Hamsik.
