Paris Saint-Germain are again eyeing a move for Chelsea schemer Juan Mata, reports the The Telegraph. The French champions were rumoured to be interested in acquiring the Spain international's services last summer, but their advances were rebuffed by the Stamford Bridge club. Mata has increasingly been driven out of the club's first-team plans under Jose Mourinho and, despite not voicing a desire to leave, could find his position in the Spanish side under threat heading into next year's World Cup. And that could lead the Paris club to revive their interest in the 25-year-old in the January window. However, PSG may have some competition this time around -- Tottenham are also said to be interested in signing Mata.

Staying with Chelsea, and according to the Mirror, the reigning Europa League champions have set their sights on securing young Everton starlet Ross Barkley. However, Mourinho has been told he must sell before he can buy. Barkley has risen to prominence at the Toffees this season, starting every Premier League match and scoring two goals. Now a full England international, the 19-year-old is firmly on Chelsea's radar, with Mourinho thought to be weighing up a 20 million pound bid. But Mourinho will have to juggle his squad to find the spare cash to lure the youngster to London. And there could be another problem -- England boss Roy Hodgson wants him to stay with Everton or risk a potential World Cup spot.

Finally, Arsenal are making plans to secure West Brom midfield general Youssouf Mulumbu. According to the Mirror, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is convinced he needs more steel in the middle of the park despite the summer capture of Arsenal old boy Mathieu Flamini. And after Wenger sent scouts to watch Mulumbu in action against Stoke recently, rumours have surfaced he could outlay 7 million pounds to capture the 26-year-old. However, the Democratic Republic of Congo international has just signed a new contract at the Hawthorns, and it may take a lot more for the Baggies to sell.
