Newcastle are expected to pay QPR 6 million pounds to make loanee Loic Remy a permanent addition to their squad in January, the Daily Mirror reports. Remy is on a season-long loan deal from the Championship club and the Toon will be given a chance to sign the Frenchman permanently. Reports suggest a fee has already been agreed for the striker to remain in the North East, although QPR will make a 2 million pounds loss on the 8 million pounds they paid for Remy earlier this year.

The Daily Star claims Liverpool and Tottenham are on red alert after Barcelona striker Cristian Tello suggested he would be open to an exit from the Spanish champions next season if he cannot establish regular playing time. The 22-year-old has hinted he will hold talks with coach Gerardo Martino later in the season to discuss his future and Liverpool will head the queue. The Reds were keen to sign Tello in the summer but the Spaniard was determined to fight for his place at the Camp Nou.

Manchester United are keen to sign Barcelona winger Alexis Sanchez, Spanish newspaper Sport reports. The Chilean has impressed in Lionel Messi's absence, but is expected to face a tough challenge to play remain a first choice for the remainder of the season. Sir Alex Ferguson made inquiries about Sanchez when the 24-year-old was at Udinese and it is believed the Red Devils have maintained their interest since. David Moyes is apparently at the fore of talks as he looks to get United's Premier League season back on track.
