Valencia defender Adil Rami is on the radar of Napoli and Inter Milan, with the Frenchman looking unlikely to ever play for the Spanish club again. Football Espana reports the two Italian clubs are keeping a close eye on Rami, who riled Valencia's board with comments on Tuesday night criticising coach Miroslav Djukic and his team-mates. The 27-year-old was linked with both clubs over the summer but chose to stay at the Mestalla, although he could opt for a move away in the summer.

An update of sorts on Sunderland's managerial situation, with the Mirror reporting Gus Poyet will have to "personally convince Black Cats owner Ellis Short that he should be appointed as Paolo Di Canio's successor. Poyet has made publicly stated his desire to take over at the Stadium of Light and it appears he is favourite to receive the job. It is reported Sunderland's director of football Roberto De Fanti is keen to get Poyet on board, but Short is determined to be thorough in his choice.
