Arsenal fans may about to rejoice their long wait for a high profile signing with British media announcing manager Arsene Wenger is on the cusp of securing Real Madrid schemer Mesut Ozil. Wenger has so far failed to secure one of his main targets this summer, but with the window closing quickly, the Frenchman is set to name one or two signings, with Ozil set firmly in his sights. According to The Telegraph, Wenger has bid £80 million for not only Ozil, but his club-mate Angel di Maria and Palermo striker Abel Hernandez as well, while the Mirror is suggesting Wenger could go for the German star as a loan signing with moves for Demba Ba and Julian Draxler also on his radar. Finally, the Daily Mail believes that Gareth Bale's move to the Spanish capital will work perfectly for Wenger's plans to lure Ozil to the Premier League. However, the same media outlet is predicting Arsenal will have to battle Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain for the 24-year-old's signature.

While Arsenal have been quiet in the summer transfer activity, their north London rivals, Tottenham, have been making some noise. And according to the The Sun, they aren't done yet, with Spurs looking to sign Blackpool's young sensation Tom Ince. Tottenham have been on a spending spree this transfer window but are keen to bring the former Liverpool trainee to the club. Ince turned down the chance to join Cardiff City earlier this summer, but with Tottenham building a competitive side this season, and Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas willing to loan him back to the Championship side, Ince is willing to join the Spurs revolution.

West Ham are also looking to add to their squad before the transfer window slams shut with the The Telegraph reporting that the Londoners are set to bring Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella in on loan. With West Ham expected to lose Ricardo Vaz Te before Monday's deadline, manager Sam Allardyce is desperate to add some more firepower. And Italy international Quagliarella is the man Allardyce is eyeing to fill that gap with West Ham only needing to pay Juventus a £300,000 loan fee to bring the 30-year-old to England.
