Week 3 Premier Fantasy Transfer Results
The close of the summer transfer window on Friday saw a flurry of last minute moves. In all, there were 128 transfers over the summer.
In the final two weeks, how did the big name transfers do and did any of the lesser lights shine for their new teams? Here's the list (with fantasy points and scoring):
Van Persie, Manchester United: 20 points, four goals and one missed PK (and an awful one at that!)
Fletcher, Sunderland: 11 points, two goals.
Dembele, Tottenham: 5 points. In typical clueless AVB managing, Dembele, who was match fit, did not start. He came in to start the second half and had one goal. Sir John believes Dembele should be listed as a midfielder.
Carrroll, West Ham: 3 points. Started, but forced to leave after 68 minutes with a serious hammie pull.
Berbatov, Fulham: 1 point. Did not start and came in to begin the second half.
Johnson, Sunderland: 3 points. Started and played 90 minutes.
Jarvis, West Ham: 3 points. Started and played 90 minutes.
Sahin, Liverpool: 3 points. Started and played 67 minutes.
Mayuka, Southampton: 1 point. Brought in off the bench and played 25 minutes.
Granero, Queens Park Rangers: 3 points. Started and played 85 minutes.
Adam, Stoke: 1 point. Did not start and played 55 minutes as a substitute.
Richardson, Fulham: 3 points. Started and substituted for after 60 minutes.
Sinclair, Manchester City: Available on the bench but did not play.
Edu, Stoke: Available on the bench but did not play.
Bowery, Aston Villa: Available on the bench but did not play.
As best can be determined, the following transfer players were not available or selected to play:
Benteke, Aston Villa
Ramirez, Southampton
Dempsey, Tottenham
Dejagah, Fulham
Westwood, Aston Villa
Benayoun, West Ham
Lloric, Tottenham
Nastasic, Manchester City
Magri, Queens Park Rangers
N'zonzi, Stoke City
Wright, Manchester City
Rose, Sunderland
Popov, WBA
Okjidja-Ofoe, Everton
Oviedo, Everton
Hernandez, Swansea
Garcia, Manchester City
B'Bia, QPR
Kane, Norwich City
Maicon, Manchester City
Cropper, Southampton
Yoshida, Southampton
Yesl, Liverpool
Cesar, QPR
Bunn, Norwich City
With the exception of van Persie and Dembele, fantasy points were few and far between for late transfers. Of course, several players who were brought in early have done well, including Cazorla, Podolski, Kagawa, Hazard, and Michu.
We'll see how things shape up beginning September 15, as transferred players become part of their new teams and, of course, we wait for the sparks and money to fly in the January transfer window.
