Gameweek 13 fantasy preview - Saturday games

There are six matches on Saturday and four on Sunday. The most anticipated match will be Chelsea hosting top-of-the-table Manchester City on Sunday.

Firstly, the Saturday games:

Sunderland-WBA

The early game features the Baggies (7-2-3) in the rarified air of fourth place and fresh off a defeat of a watered-down Chelsea lineup. Odemwingie scored his 4th PL goal and seems a good fantasy addition at 6.5, especially after his fantasy value inexplicably dropped 0.3. Also scoring his 4th PL goal was Shane Long. A key fantasy defender who did not play was McAuley who will be assessed at game time. Steve Clarke gets Lukaku back.

Sunderland (2-6-3, 15th) went into the Fulham game with only eight goals in 10 matches, however, after Fulham's Hangerland was ejected with a straight red card, the Black Cats scored three. Fletcher got his sixth, Sessegnon, who had been in fantasy hibernation, got his first and Cuellar added a shock goal.

Everton-Norwich City
A key loss for David Moyes will be Fellaini, suspended after picking up his 5th YC against Reading. The Blues (5-5-2, 5th) are enjoying an excellent season and scoring more goals than usual (22), however, they have let in 16. Mirallas is a major injury loss.

The Canaries (3-5-4, 14th) will be on an emotional high after a shock 1-0 defeat over Man Utd. NC doesn't offer much fantasy value on offence. Holt (3 goals) is the only player with more than one. Pilkington got his first against MU. John Ruddy has had five clean sheets.

Manchester United-QPR
This match may not be suitable viewing for children under the age of 12. Man Utd (9-0-3) slipped to second place and will be out to get three points, especially with Man City and Chelsea battling on Sunday.

The Red Devils have scored a league-high 29 goals, however, the defence has been leaky, surrendering 17. Evans may return, which would help the fading Ferdinand. Fergie's midfield is mediocre and needs Rooney fit. MU rested key players in a meaningless midweek Champions League game. Look for RvP to put at least one in the net against a woeful QPR.

The Rangers (0-4-8, 20th) are 0-1-5 on the road and have only scored nine goals in 12 matches while watching 23 orbs fill their onion bag. Mark Hughes is on managerial life support.

Stoke-Fulham
Stoke return home after their seventh draw this season. The Potters have scored ten goals in 12 matches, however, Tony Pulis knows what it takes for PL survival and for his collection of lads, defence is the key. Stoke has only given up 11 goals and have excellent fantasy defensive players in Begovic, Huth, and Shawcross.

Fulham (4-4-4, 9th) will be without several key players. Hangeland is suspended after receiving an unjust straight red card against Sunderland. Ruiz and Kacaniklic are sidelined with injuries. However, Berbatov is in fine form and is a threat to add to his 5 goals scored in 8 games.

Wigan-Reading
The least attractive match-up features Wigan (3-2-7, 16th) against Reading (1-6-4, 17th). Reading forward Adam Le Fondre scored a brace in the shock victory over Everton, the Royals' first win of the season.

Aston Villa-Arsenal
The late game sends goal-scoring Arsenal to shell-shocked Villa, 0-5 losers to Manchester City. Paul Lambert's team is a human bulls eye, having conceded 22 goals while only scoring ten. Darren Bent has two of them and he is injured but probably would not start since Lambert has no use for him.

Villa is on the relegation treadmill (2-3-7, 18th) and will be facing the sixth place Gunners (5-4-3) who have scored 23 goals and given up only 13.

Olivier Giroud may be on the verge of a fantasy-scoring binge. He is in top form, as is Santi Cazorla. Both have four goals. Podolski also has four goals and until last week against Spurs, he was still a disappointment. No more. Even Walcott, who hurt his shoulder, managed his third goal once AVB's team imploded following Adebayor's red card. Gervinho may be ready for selection.

Sunday's games will be previewed in the next installment.
