Manchester United and Arsenal is the week's marquee game. Midweek Champions League and Europa League play make roster rotation a concern. There will be no early game to check announced lineups prior to the game lock.

Saturday, November 9

Aston Villa (3-2-5) vs. Cardiff (3-3-4)
Fantasy holders of Christian Benteke wonder about his form. No goals since September 14. Villa have only scored nine goals all season (four from Benteke) and have lost four out of five at home.
Cardiff comes off an emotional derby result against Swansea. The Bluebirds have only scored nine goals with the most dramatic last Sunday from defender Steven Caulker who now has two for the season.

Chelsea (6-2-2) vs. WBA (3-4-3)
Chelsea won in Champions League play. Samuel Eto'o got a brace and Demba Ba a goal. Eden Hazard, dropped from the team sheet for missing a training session should start. Juan Mata drifts in an out of relevancy and Fernando Torres is injured. Chelsea have gone five games without a clean sheet.
The Baggies mediocre season continues. Some offensive punch has come from forward Saido Berahino who scored in his last game. Defenders Gareth McAuley and Liam Ridgewell have three goals between them.

Crystal Palace (1-0-9) vs. Everton (4-4-1)
There is no hope for the sad sack, bottom feeder Eagles who have only scored six goals and been shredded with 21.
Everton need Romelu Lukaku to show more than his benign display against Spurs. Everton's two clean sheets in a row have rewarded fantasy managers holding Tim Howard and Leighton Baines.

Liverpool (6-2-2) vs. Fulham (3-1-6)
Now six straight Premier League games without a clean sheet, Liverpool may get defender Glen Johnson back. Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge should resume their goal-scoring act against the dismal Cottagers who are without suspended Sasha Reither. Dimitar Berbatov is a fantasy flop.

Southampton (5-4-1) vs. Hull (4-2-4)
The Saints have conceded only four goals but they offer little offensive creativity and hope to have forward Pablo Osvaldo available.
Hull remains the surprise Premier League team of the year and are rewarding fantasy managers with defensive points. Robbie Brady is doubtful.

Norwich (2-2-6) vs. West Ham (2-4-4)
A clean sheet one week and seven goals surrendered the next, and so goes the season for the endangered Canaries that have scored just six goals. West Ham players offer little offensive threat with only eight goals scored, two by Ravel Morrison and two by injured Ricardo Vaz Te. Defender Winston Reid is out injured.

Sunday, November 10

Tottenham (6-2-2) vs. Newcastle (4-2-4)
In Europa League play, Erik Lamela and Jermain Defoe scored in a home victory.
Spurs have only given up five goals but have managed just nine.
Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris will start.
Loic Remy has six goals for the Magpies who could get defender Fabricio Coloccini back after missing the last three matches.

Sunderland (1-1-8) vs. Manchester City (6-1-3)
The woeful Black Cats have conceded the most goals (22) and catch a Manchester City team with the most goals scored (28). In UCL play, Alvero Negrego had a hat trick and Sergio Aguero a brace and an assist. Vincent Kompany won't play, David Silva is a minimum two weeks, and Fernandinho faces a late fitness test. Goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon keeps Joe Hart benched.

Manchester United (5-2-3) vs. Arsenal (8-1-1)
Manchester United were disappointing in UCL play, scoring no goals and having Robin van Persie miss a penalty kick. Adnan Januzaj was not on the team sheet, an indication he will start against the Gunners. Van Persie has goals in three straight Premier League games. Rooney has five goals and an assist in his last seven PL matches.
League-leader Arsenal have scored 22 goals with half from Aaron Ramsey (six) and Olivier Giroud (five). That duo has four assists each and another four assists have come from Mesut Ozil. Jack Wilshere may be back. The Gunners had an impressive 0-1 UCL victory in Germany and Aaron Ramsey got the goal.

Swansea (3-2-5) vs. Stoke (2-3-5)
Underachieving Swansea are without fantasy disappointment Michu for four weeks. Thursday in Russia, Swansea got a score from Wilfried Bony but conceded a late equalizing Europa goal. Michel Vorm is suspended.
Stoke have managed just seven goals and are only a point above the drop zone.
